The Governors of Sitwell Infant School are seeking to appoint a well-motivated, enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our hard working, outstanding support staff team. The post is temporary in the first instance, with the possibility of becoming permanent, subject to a satisfactory probationary period of six months.
Sitwell Infant School is a large and successful infant school with an inclusive and child centred ethos. We are looking for candidates who are committed to working effectively and have relevant school office experience, who will be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative. We were judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted in June 2014 and we have continued to be relentless in our pursuit for every child to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will:
- Has a passion to help and support children and see them thrive
- Is patient and has a caring and positive attitude towards all children
- Will empathise with children and understand their different learning styles
- Have exceptional teaching skills and a flexible, adaptable approach
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help build positive relationships with our children, families and their colleagues
- Has good timekeeping and organisational skills
- Can use their initiative to work creatively, independently and flexibly
- Has competent ICT skills, and is confident to create and prepare resources
- Is motivated, keen to learn and willing to undergo further training where necessary
- Will share our commitment for inclusion and pastoral care, ensuring all children reach their full potential
- Be able to maintain confidentiality on all school matters
