Year 1 Transition Letter
Thu 28 Jan 2016A letter has been sent out to all Year 1 parents regarding the transition arrangement in the previous summer term. We would like as many responses as possible to give us a clear picture of your feelings around the transition process from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1. Any ideas about how we can improve this will be discussed and implemented, if possible, before the existing cohort make their visits this summer term.
Please make sure you return your form to the class teacher or the office before Friday 5th February. Thank you for your support.

Evening Workshop for parents
Tue 19 Jan 2016Following lots of enquiries about the Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar parents workshop on Friday 22nd January, we have now arranged to offer this as an evening session. We understand that many of our parents work either part or full time and are not always able to make an early morning session. We want to ensure as many parents as possible are able to access this information, therefore we have organised this meeting for Thursday 28th January from 5.30pm onward. The session is planned to last for approximately an hour. As with the morning session, we would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance in the office so that we are resourced and set up for the right amount of people.
Also, we are now looking into the possibility of organising an evening session as a repeat of the E-Safety workshop recently delivered to parents. Again, if you would be interested in this, please let us know in the office.
Thank you for your continued support in your child's learning.

Headteacher Appointment
Wed 13 Jan 2016Since returning to school, some parents have asked about the situation regarding the Headteacher position. Just before the holidays, a letter was sent home regarding this. The letter informed parents of the Governing Body's decision to appoint Mrs Peart as permanent Headteacher with immediate effect. A letter from the Governing Body has been attached in the Letters Home folder of the website, which you can access by clicking here. Thank you for your continued support. -
SPaG Parents Workshop
Wed 13 Jan 2016Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Workshop
On Friday 22nd January, we are holding a special workshop for parents about the new Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar element of the National Curriculum. This will be a great introduction to this new aspect and will give you practical ideas and strategies about how to support your child at home.
A letter has been sent out about this with a slip that needs to be returned to the office or just call in and we will put your name on the list.
Thank you for your support in your child's learning.
