Disclaimer - equipment outside school
Wed 25 Sep 2019A polite reminder to parents and carers that the equipment outside of school, both in our EYFS area and in the large playground, is NOT to be used at the end of the school day. Unfortunately, this seems to be happening and resources that are out for our children to enjoy are being broken and ruined. Please be advised that school will aim to recoup any costs for damage to school grounds made by children.
It is not safe for children to be using the equipment without adequate supervision. The school cannot be held responsible if a child uses the equipment and hurts themselves.
Please support us to keep these areas safe and usable for our children during the school day. Thank you.

New hometime arrangements
Wed 04 Sep 2019As you will already be aware, due to the change in closing time at Sitwell Junior School, we have had to change our end of day routines and procedures slightly. These have been changed to ensure the safety of security of our children as this is always our main priority.
A new gate has been installed, which will be locked once the children are in school every morning. The gate will not be opened during the school day, and we ask that our families use the main entrance off Grange Road to come into our playground. We also ask politely that any older children from the junior school are sensible and do not ride bikes or scooters on our playground whilst the children are coming out to parents.
To ensure we can get children to their grown ups quickly and safely, we ask that parents stand to the edge of the playground and once their children have come outside, go and let the class teacher or teaching assisant know that you are there to collect your child. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD FROM THE QUEUE AS THE STAFF WILL NOT KNOW THAT THEY HAVE BEEN COLLECTED SAFELY. Just inform a member of staff that you are collecting them.
We hope you understand the reasons behind our new procedures and that we will have your support in collecting your children in a safe way at the end of every day.
