Mon 31 Oct 2022We are delighted to inform you that the dress down day on Friday 21st October has helped us to raise in excess of £1,000 for the Pakistan flood appeal!!
We have been absolutely blown away by your kindness and generosity and we know this huge amount of money will make a significant impact on the lives of so many people who have been affected.
We will confirm the full amount at the end of this week, once all donations have been received and counted.

Jewellery in school
Fri 14 Oct 2022We have noticed that several children are coming to school wearing jewellery which is not permitted. Children are only allowed to wear stud earrings to school; no other form of jewellery should be worn. This includes necklaces, bracelets and rings. If your child does wear earrings, these must be removed every day that they have a PE lesson for safety reasons. Please do not send children in expensive earrings or earrings that are not studs.
Children are able to wear a watch if they are learning to tell the time, however smart watches are not allowed in school for safeguarding purposes.
Please ensure you follow this guidance moving forward. Thank you.

Pakistan Flood Appeal - Fundraising Friday 21st October
Fri 14 Oct 2022As many of you will already be aware, devastating floods have hit Pakistan, submerging vast areas of land and leaving 6 million people in need of urgent help. The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called it a "climate catastrophe". Whole villages have been cut off, with rescuers struggling to reach them. At least 1,600 people have been killed and 12,865 injured. We know that some of our families have relatives that have been directly impacted by these floods. After finding out about this crisis in class assemblies, we have made the decision to try to raise funds to help some of those people in need in Pakistan. Children can come to school dressed in their own clothes on Friday 21st October and we are asking for a donation towards the appeal. All funds raised will be donated via DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee). You can find out more about their work here: https://www.dec.org.uk/appeal/pakistan-floods-appealWe know that times are difficult at the moment, so we are just asking for any donation that you can make at this time. It will all go towards making a difference to those affected.Thank you for your continued support. -

Parent Stay & Learn sessions
Wed 05 Oct 2022An overview of the parent Stay & Learn sessions that we have planned for this half term. These sessions are an opportunity for you to come in and visit your child's classroom to find out what they are learning about and to see some of their work. The sessions begin at 8.45am as children enter school and parents will need to leave at 9.15am so that we are able to then get on with our day's learning. We will add these dates to the school app so they are there as a reminder.
As the classrooms are quite small, we do have to limit attendance to one person per child. We do hope you will be able to join us for these sessions.
Thank you for your continued support.

World Mental Health Day - Monday 10th October
Tue 04 Oct 2022As it is World Mental Health Day on Monday 10th October, we are inviting all staff and children to come to school wearing something yellow. This could be a t-shirt, jumper, leggings, a clip, a hat etc. During the day, we will be discussing mental health and how we can help and support each other to have positive mental health.
There does not need to be a donation for this event as it is just to raise awareness and not funds.
Thank you for your continued support.
