Thank you to those parents who were able to complete the survey in November. We have now analysed the results and wanted to share an overview of these with you. We are always eager to hear parents and carers views and have already made changes within school to put some of your suggestions into place.
You can access an overview of the results here. Thank you for your kind comments about the staff in school, these have been passed on and were gratefully received. As you are unable to read the full comments in this overview, I have attached a copy of the comments below. We asked for the things you feel are best about our school, but also areas where you feel we can improve. We take this feedback on board and will be making changes based on your views through the course of the rest of this year. Several parents raised concerns about the lunchtime menu, and I have already met with Dolce, our caterer, and Mrs Walker at the Junior School to redevelop the menu for the Summer term. I hope you will find the changes pleasing. The role of governors is also a question which many parents were unsure about; the governing board at Sitwell Infant School do a tremendous job in supporting myself and the other senior leaders, ensuring school is run effectively. Please take a look at our Governors information page here and our Governors Blog here, which tells you about the valuable work they are doing for school.
We have taken on board your feedback regarding having the choice of a written report, virtual meeting or telephone call for Parents Evenings and as there was a mixed response to this, we will ask parents which option they would prefer and this will be put into place for the spring term. A parent has also recommended a visual aid to show parents where children are in their learning in core subjects, and this will also be developed in the spring term; it is hoped this will help you understand if your child is working at the age related expectations or not and what progress they are making.
