Attendance monitoring - letters home
Wed 23 Oct 2024We have completed our attendance monitoring for this first half term and letters will be sent out to parents today regarding this. The letters are sent to ensure parents are aware of their child's attendance if it is in line with our school and national targets.
We are also monitoring later marks and letters will be sent to parents where there are concerns about this. Please ensure you work with us so that your child arrives on time each day.
Thank you for your continued support with your child's attendance and punctuality.

Parental Questionnaire
Wed 16 Oct 2024Parental Questionnaire
We are seeking parents views about school through our autumn term questionnaire. The link has been emailed directly to parents and added to Google Classroom. These are questions we ask every year to gather parents views about school - what is working well and what areas you feel we could improve in. The questionnaire will be available until 22nd November at 5pm.
We would be grateful if you could give 5 minutes of your time to share your views.
There will also be the opportunity to do this at our Parents Evening sessions.
Thank you for your continued support.

Fancy Dress Disco - Thursday 14th November
Tue 15 Oct 2024We are planning to hold our first PTA event for this year - a fancy dress disco! The disco will be held on Thursday 14th November, which coincides with one of our KS1 Parent Evening sessions. Please see the attached poster for full information. Tickets for younger siblings can also be purchased, but please note that older children cannot attend. This is the first PTA event for our youngest children and we want to make sure they are not overwhelmed by older children from the junior school.
We will be selling tickets via your School Money account. If you would like to purchase a ticket, please ring or email the office on the contact details below to organise this. We will then add the payment to your school money account. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. School opening time
Tue 17 Sep 2024Following a slight change at the beginning of the school year, our school day now begins promptly at 8.45am. We open the school doors at 8.40am to allow time for children to enter the classroom ready for the register to be taken. Our gates are open from 8.30am each day, so parents are able to get into school and be ready for the doors to open. The school gate, main entrance doors and classroom doors in Foundation will be closed at 8.45am as this is when staff need to complete the register.
Please note that any children that arrive after the gate and class doors are closed must come into school through the main reception so we can ensure they are marked on the register. As stated on the letter sent out before the holidays, a child will only receive a late mark in the register if they arrive after 8.50am. Classes are on their way to assembly straight away so are unable to keep the classroom doors open past 8.45am.
We understand that families with multiple children may find this more difficult; however, children in Year 1 and Year 2 are able to come across the playground and into school independently so that you are able to drop off any children in Sunflower, Buttercup or Daisy classes on time. There are a range of adults on the door each day to make sure the children get to their classroom safely.
We appreciate that sometimes parents and carers may need to call to reception to speak to staff or drop off medication etc; if this is the case, we will be able to take the children down to their classes as if they are in Sunflower, Buttercup or Daisy classes, they may get there after the door is closed. We are happy to help in these scenarios.
Please ensure you set off to school in plenty of time in a morning to ensure you child arrives into school by 8.45am.
Thank you for your continued support.
