PTA Afternoon Tea
Thu 22 Feb 2024Our wonderful PTA have organised our next event - this will be an Afternoon Tea event held in the school hall. Please see the poster for full details. Please note that due to space, only one parent per family can attend.
If you would like to order a ticket, please telephone reception or email office@sitwellinfantschool.co.uk and we will add this to your School Money account.
Places are limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis.

Safer Internet Day 2024

is our Computing Lead in school, will be leading an assembly on Tuesday to support the children's understanding of the importance of staying safe online.

Children's Mental Health Week
Sun 04 Feb 2024This week is Children's Mental Health Week and the focus this year is 'My Voice Matters'. For children to develop positive mental health, they need to feel that they are able to share their ideas and opinions.
As usual, we will be delivering our myHappymind sessions in school this week to support our children's understanding of their mental health and develop positive well-being.

Coffee & Chat afternoon - Tuesday 23rd January
Tue 16 Jan 2024As well as our NHS Coffee Mornings with the Junior School and the School Nurse team, we are also organising our own 'Coffee & Chat' sessions in school. Please see the attached poster for further details of our first session.
We are hoping to run further sessions, led by parents ideas. Please come along for a chat and hopefully we can answer any questions you might have.

PTA Movie Night - 7th February
Tue 16 Jan 2024We are planning to hold our second PTA event for this year - a move night! The movie night will be held on Wednesday 7th February. Please see the attached poster for full information. We will be watching 'Leo' from Netflix at the movie night. This event is only for children who attend Sitwell Infant School - younger and older siblings are unable to attend.
We will be selling tickets via your School Money account. If you would like to purchase a ticket, please ring or email the office on the contact details below to organise this. We will then add the payment to your school money account. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to due space in the hall. Please note - parents are not required to attend this event but they are welcome to attend if they wish.

NHS Coffee Morning upcoming dates

Fundraising
Tue 28 Nov 2023Thank you for all your support over the last couple of months towards our fundraising efforts! It is very much appreciated.
Our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a huge success and we raised a fantastic £121.40 for this worthwhile cause.
We had a fabulous dress down day for Children in Need and we raised £193.30 altogether. This will be shared equally between Children in Need and the British Red Cross appeal.

Parental Survey
Thu 16 Nov 2023A new parental survey has been emailed to all parents today so that we can gather your views about the education on offer at Sitwell Infant School. Please click on the link in the email to complete the survey before it closes on 1st December.
We will have iPads available during Parents Evening sessions this week for you to use to complete the survey if you will find this easier.

Mission Christmas donations

Get help to buy food and milk - The Healthy Start scheme
What is Healthy Start?
If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, you may be entitled to get help to buy healthy food and milk.If you’re eligible, you’ll be sent a Healthy Start card with money on it that you can use in some UK shops. We’ll add your benefit onto this card every 4 weeks.
You can use your card to buy:
- Plain liquid cow’s milk
- Fresh, frozen, and tinned fruit and vegetables
- Fresh, dried, and tinned pulses
- Infant formula milk based on cow’s milk.
You can also use your card to collect:
- Healthy Start vitamins – these support you during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Vitamin drops for babies and young children – these are suitable from birth to 4 years old.
