Meet Our School Dog

My name is Alf...

Hello everyone, my name is Alf and I am going to be Sitwell Infant School's new member of staff - their school dog! I am so excited to be joining the team and start my visits to school. Are you excited? We are going to have so much fun together and take part in so many amazing activities throughout the year. We will be making lots of lovely memories.

I am 20 months old and my breed is a Lhasapoo. My mum is a Lhasa Apso and my dad is a Toy Poodle. I am hypoallergenic which means that I do not malt and should not cause issues for any children or adults with allergies. Hopefully you will all be able to meet and work with me! Outside of school I live at home with Mrs Peart, as well as her husband Mr Peart and her two daughters, Phoebie and Ella. We go on lots of lovely long walks together and I love to explore the woods near where I live! I regularly go to the vet for check ups and my vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and I have completed training from the Dogs Trust to make sure I know how to make the right choices! You can help me with this too.

Mrs Peart sent a letter home to all parents in December for permission for each child to handle me and work with me in school - please make sure you send yours back before Friday 7th January. It is attached below if you missed it. Please fill it in and drop it into the school office.

Thanks for finding out a little bit about me. I am off for a nap now, but I will post another update when I have been into school on 10th January. See you then!
