KS1 Around the World

KS1 Around the World Topic - Special Events!

After the holidays our children in Classes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be learning about different countries and continents from around the world. To enhance children's learning about music from around the world, we will be holding a Samba Drumming workshop on Friday 19th February in the hall. Each class will have a session learning about the drums and how to play them. We are very excited!

Also, on Monday 22nd February, we would like children to come dressed up as tourists or come in cultural clothes e.g. Eid clothes/traditional dress from different countries. We have planned a special set of events where the children will travel 'around the world in a day'! They will visit each others classrooms and take part in lots of learning activities linked to different countries. We are sure it is going to be a day to remember!!
