Be the best that we can be!

The Governors of Sitwell Infant School are seeking to appoint a well-motivated, enthusiastic Receptionist and Admin Assistant to join our hard working, outstanding office team. The post is temporary in the first instance, with the possibility of becoming permanent, subject to a satisfactory probationary period of six months.

Sitwell Infant School is a large and successful infant school with an inclusive and child centred ethos. We are looking for candidates who are committed to working effectively and have relevant school office experience, who will be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative. We were judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted in June 2014 and we have continued to be relentless in our pursuit for every child to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to help build positive relationships with our children, families and their colleagues
  • Have a positive outlook and be flexible and supportive of our ethos
  • Have exceptional reception and administrative skills and knowledge
  • Be dynamic, highly effective and approachable, with a willingness to help others

  • Be able to maintain confidentiality on all school matters

We can offer you:

  • The opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, fun loving and dedicated team of staff
  • A happy, stimulating and safe learning environment
  • A strong, supportive and highly experienced leadership team and governing body, committed to staff well-being
  • Strong supportive partnerships with parents and the wider community
  • Opportunities for professional development and training both in school and externally, to develop your own skills as a practitioner
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to the lives and futures of our children

We would love to meet caring, hardworking people who want to make a difference to our children and families.

Visits are warmly encouraged and these will take place from Monday 12th May to Friday 20th June. Please contact Debra Darkin, School Business Manager on (01709) 531855 to arrange an appointment.
