  • School Dinners

Our dinners are cooked on site in line with Government food based standards for school lunches by ABM Catering. We encourage children to make healthy food choices at lunchtime and ensure that meals meet nutritional requirements. Lots of staff sit and eat a school dinner with the children at lunch time, taking time to talk to them about their day and teaching them good table manners.

Children can choose a meat option, a halal meat option, a vegetarian option or a sandwich option. Halal meals offered in school conform to the strict Halal criteria gained from Islamic Dietary Law; based on the thorough research carried out by the Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC) UK.

Menus are developed on a three weekly cycle and are sent home each term. All children of Infant School age are entitled to a free school meal daily. In addition, you can help our school to obtain a Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) payment if you are in receipt of child benefit and one of the following welfare benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit, and a gross annual income that does not exceed £16,190
  • Pension Credit
  • Asylum Seeker Status (receiving support)

Parents need to order their child's lunch online through Parent Pay each day if they require a free school lunch. The menu is online. A copy is attached below for your reference.
